thats ok if u just want something basic and better bass than regular speakers. as for what those mean. rms is the constant power the amp pushes and the max is the maximum power it pushes. 4ohm 2ohm all depends on the speakers and how its wired. i can get u links to wiring diagrams if ud like. u want to look at rms more than max. how much money r u looking to spend? if u let me know i can show u something in ur pricerangeIs this a good sound system. kenwood makes good quality equipment so that package is ok for a starter system.as fer the specs;max is what it is capable of producing but not all the time.continous is what it produces most of the time 4 ohms and 2 ohms is the way that it will be wired up.since you have 2 single voice coil subs they will have to be wired in parallel (both positives wired together and both negatives wired together) so that gives you 1 positive wire and 1 negative wire to hook to the 1 channel of the amp .so with that set up you will be running 500 wattsI would say this package is pretty crappy. The amp in my opinion is a piece of crap. I think the subs look good though. I used to have almost the same amp. It claims to push 500 watts at two ohms, but i bet its less then that. I dont think there is any way this amp will push 1000w at 4ohms. It doesnt say the sub's rms value, but i bet the subs will be underpowerd, and will only recieve 250 watts or less per piece. If you are looking for a decent starter system, I would go on ebay and pick up 2 kicker comps, and a kicker 400.1. It might cost a little more, but trust me, it will be well worth it, and will blow that best buy system out of the water.

first of all, yes those are pretty nice subs. second, the continous power also known as rms power, is wut the amp constantly runs at ,at that ohmage. the max power also known as peak, is the maximum power the amp will put out at that ohmage. so i would buy those if i were u. they should sound good.A couple of questions about my audio system.?
This is a very good deal for a beginner. This isn't gonna shake the neiborhood or anything but with a sealed box it'll sound pretty good.Good Luck!
Oh, you might wanna wait until they have one of these deals on Rockford Fosgate or Alpine as they always do, this would be well worth it.
