My amplifier starts clipping in and out after about 30 minutes of hard knocking bass?? whys that??
Its a speaker it's supposed to have soundMy amp says 2ohms but my sub is 4ohms, can i make it work??
no, there should be eggs coming out.Is a 1.5 ohm load too much for a Rockford Fosgate Punch 401s amp?
im just kidding. old your hand in front of the speaker with a song that has a lot of base and if you feel some air pushing against your hand, then it should be working right. also, you should be able to hear at least a little bit of sound. if you bought it from best buy or something like that, just give them a call and see if the will help you over the phone/
Can someone tell me how I might hook up a marine stereo to a regular power supply?
if you are reffering to music as the highs like come from normal speakers, no.. there is music because theres no crossover to take them out. there may be one on your amp. or cd player alsoI am assuming that you are hearing things such as a singers vocals coming from the sub. You do not want this. You are right in questioning this. Hopefully you are running your subwoofer with an amplifier and hopefully it has a built in crossover. A crossover is a filter which only lets certain tones pass thru into your sub or speakers. If you are using an amplifier look on it to see if there is a switch that says "LPF" which stands for "low-pass filter" or maybe it just says "x-over" you would typically want to set this switch to around 80hz meaning no sounds higher than this setting will get to your sub. In some situations it can be unhealthy for your sub to play higher tones. Maybe your head unit (cd player) has a set of outputs (RCA jacks) that has a filter for a sub amp on it. If not you can buy a separate crossover unit for relatively cheap. I only hope you are not running your sub off of your deck. Good Luck!
