buy yourself a wire harness so you don't have to cut any of the stock wires man. its pre wired to factory specs all you have to do is crimp new head unit leads to the labled wires get a metra kit. i have that same wire harness in my closet some where it worked just fine and once i sold that crappy car i was able to put the stock unit back in no prob just plug it in
