Disrupting loud bass?

Question:
One of my co-workers says that if he transmits 100w on the 80 meter band it will completely disrupt a car stereo at the distance of one car length. He didn’t know if they where playing a radio or CD. This makes sense if they are listening to the radio, but I don’t see how this can affect a CD unless the inputs to the high power amplifiers are not shielded very well.

why is it that you lose your car radio reception in gas stations?

I’m not worried about the law, if they don’t have time to bull those clowns over, they don’t have time to bother me.

Car Stereo with Ipod Connection?

Has anyone tried this?

How do you fix a Rockford Fosgate amp when the thermal light comes on?

Not sure about bandwidth, but I have first hand experience with this. I was driving with the stereo playing and a commercial truck drove up along side me and whoa! Suddenly I was listening to a CB radio. As he passed it went away. This was with a regular head unit (no amp, sub) playing a tape. What's with the clown comment? Should Harleys also be pulled over? What about school buses? I think you're just jealous.

Need Help On Which Audio Sub Brand?

I don't think that it is posible with a CD even if the amps are not very well shielded the car its self shields them from most other outside interferance. but I would be interested to see this in action.
