Where do high-pass capacitors and low pass inductors go between the amp and subwoofer?
in my pro sound systems I usually use 6.5 " components (separates) for optimal SQ , but there are alot of 6x9 used by other folks. the position of the driver is very important to look at as well as speaker size .How do I connect my 6"x9"s to my amp.?
6 x 9 speakers can deliver the BASS if you dont have a Subwoofer, as they are 3 way (tweeter, mid and bass), if you have a subwoofer go for the 6 x 5.Cheap setup-6 x 9's in the rear, mids in the front doors, tweeters on the dash facing the driver and passenger.all you need
Hi does anyone know where i can get a manual/instructions for a Pioneer DEH-P2550.? Thanks.?
6x9 3-ways will give you the power of a subwoofer and the high frequency of a regular speaker. They are good all around, the only draw back would be where to install them if you don't have a factory location to put them. You have to get boxes for them, and you don't want them to look tacky. Some people do that.Legacy and Lanzer Subwoofer Amps??
The other two guys have really good input. I would only add going to www.crutchfield.com to plug in info about your car on their website. It will tell you all of the sizes of speakers that will fit your particular car, truck or van. From there its just a matter of choosing how you want to listen to your music. If you just want a marginal improvement over stock, replace the speakers. If you want to really shake the car, consider adding larger speakers and install them in custom locations. This might involve new baffles or a custom made box underneath the rear deck to seal the front sound wave from the back wave. This produces clearer sound reproduction. How do i stop buzzing noise coming from my ports?
bx9 is bigger and puts out a lil more bassHow do I run the power cord from my battery to the interior of my car for powering my speakers?
a 6x9 has greater cone area than a 6.5" speaker, meaning it will be a bit louder on the lower end, assuming they are the same type of driver.Unfortunately, the shape of a 6x9 creates uneven pressure around the cone - meaning that a 6x9 will also distort more easily. However, if you are not an audiophile, you probably wont even notice anything.
