I want some 6x9's that have a lot of bass and are clean. Right now i have clarions that sound really good and have alot of bass but they are old and i need to replace them soon, please help, almost want it to sound like a mini sub.

I have a set of Memphis 6x9's in my Regal, And they have plenty of bass. I am looking for a 4ch amp so I can add more power to them. But for the time being they knock just as good as these new factory speakers being put in these new cars with much more clear bass.Car DVD player dilemma...need educated advice please!?

I have the preceding model of these and, prior to intalling actual subs, they put off some serious kick. Best results if you run a 2-channel amplifier to them with a rating of at least 500 watts.

RockfordFosgate manufacturers a brand called Lightning Audio (yes, really). This brand is sold at your local Wal-Mart and 3-way (triaxial) 6x9's can be had for about $35 bucks! They also sell 10's, 12's, and 300wrms (750 'peak') amps also. VERY good SQ for the price. These 6x9's will outperform anything mentioned earlier for the dollar, I promise, i've heard the 6x9's and 12's. The 12's had 500wrms going to them.VERY good SQ for the price.

Also, it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get sub quality bass out of a 6x9". Most small speakers (4", 5.25", 61/2", 6x9", etc...) are optimized for IB -Infinite Baffle-, or Free-Air areas. Not to mention you probably can't (nearly impossible also -at least i've NEVER seen-) find t/s parameters(what you NEED to build a box that will get any kind of decent bass from them) for any small speaker unless it is a woofer.
