Subwoofer question?

Question:
so i have 2 alpine type r dual voice coils rated at 4 ohms and i want to wire them downto 2 ohms buti want to know if i should because i have everyhting i need and the amp i have is the bd 1000 and that is rated at 1000 rms at 4 ohms, i think but whenever i go on a website i can never get the right description so i was wondering if someone could tell me if i should keep my subs at 4 ohms or make them 2 ohms??

Answers:

IF I BOUGHT AN Alpine: CVA-1014RB Motorised monitor, WOULD I HAVE TO BUY ANY EXTRAS TO MAKE IT WORK?

You could bridge them both down to 2Ohms. This would give each of them 500wrms, perfect! Connect each speaker positive to the amp positive. Each speaker negative to amp negative. Did I mention this would give them 500wrms each? Also that it'd be perfect too?
