Simple question about wiring speakers?

Question:
sony gt110, though i doubt its brand or model specific. from the sony harness, are the speaker grounds solid colored wires, or the ones with black tracers?

Is there anything wrong with me running a 150 4ohm Woofer at 8 ohm's?

didn't like the job the radio shop did bypassing the factory amp, so i'm running new speaker wire, only the dudes at the radio shop tossed my wiring diagram, and they appearently wired it up any way it would play. right rear leads were completely unhooked, and the other three were wired in together, two with tracers, one without. i thought about asking the radio dude, but looks to me he didn't know either.

Audio for a rental?

thanks

Best way to wire up car stereo speakers?

Here you go:http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/intersho...
Scroll down to "Technical" then click on "Manuals/Specs & Warranty.
I chose Option 1.
And just put the "CDX-GT110" in the box for Model.
Here you can download or view documents for the CDX-GT110.
It will take awhile, but it will show you the speaker out lines.

In that case, rewire them all so you know for sure. One is used as the ground and the other is used as the power. Normally the full color is ground.

Is it possible to get a cd out of a car stereo after it has been disconnected from the car.?

Sony uses the CEA after-market wiring standard. Each speaker output has a (+) and (-) wire; the black stripe marks the (-) wires. The speaker wire colors are: Left front--white; Right front--gray; left rear--green; right rear--violet.

What are the stock speakers in a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT?

I just installed a Sony CDX-GT11W in my vehicle last weekend and I still have the wiring diagram from it and 'KaeZoo' has the correct answer. The wires with the black stripes are the negative leads.LF white pos and white/black stripe neg. RF gray pos. and gray/black stripe neg. LR green pos. and green/black stripe neg. and RR purple pos. and purple/black stripe is neg. Good luck, my new radio/CD sounds great.

Bass Blockers?

Speaker wires have to wires for each output signal from the amp. Positive + and negative -. The solid colored wires are the positives: usually green, purple, grey, and white. The wires with black line down them are the negatives: green w/ black stripe, purple w/ black stripe, etc.
Connect the positive wire from an ouput channel to the positive + on the speaker. Connect the black-striped wire to the negative - terminal on the speaker.
I don't think they know what they are doing when they connect two together, this would burn-up the amp.
My advice; get a friend with adaquate installation knowledge and ask him/her to look it over for you -you know you know someone!
Double check your connections, and be safe! Good luck!
