Ok i have two single voice coil 4 ohm 500w rms 1000w peak audiobahn subs...and a 400wx1 at 4 ohm and 700wx1 at 2 ohm alpine amp...ive seen the pictures of parallel wiring...do i tie the 2 negative wires together and the 2 positive wires together or just put the 2 negatives to the negative terminal and the 2 positives to the positives terminal without tieing them. You can tie the 2 wires together, or run them both to the terminal, it makes no difference.Do I have to get earbud headphones for XM's SkyFi3?
If you want to connect 2 subs to a 1 channel amp, you have to connect the 2 positives wires from the speaker to the same positive terminal of the amp, and the 2 neg to the neg terminal of the amp., with this type of conection, the speakers present to the outputs of the amp a 2ohm load which allow more power delivered to the subs. But it is important to verify that your amp is capable of working in bridged mode otherwise it wont' work. with two 4 ohm speakers connected in parallel is the equivalent of one speaker of 2 ohm. In other words, the resistance of the speakers divides in half in parallel mode, in series mode it double the resistance (only if the speakers are the same resistance) so it will be 8 ohms which means it will be LESS POWER. any questions let me know.Boss GT-580 Keeps Going Into Proection Mode.?

I got 2 new rear deck speakers and I just want to run a separate amp to them but where do I connect in the second amp to the Shaker 500? Can I just use the 2 rear speaker wires into the speaker level inputs on the new amp and then run the amp to the speakers? I'm a little worried about not connecting to preamp outs since the Shaker 500 doesn't have any for connecting a separate amp that I am aware of.
