Hardest hitting sub/amp setup for 400 or under?

I'm looking for the best bass response i can get and an amp to power it. 12" pref. i listen to super bass heavy underground rap. suggestions anyone? looking to spend 400 ish.

On the second hand you can get a Rockford P3 with the Rockford amp rated to run it, and you will love it. It all depends on what company you like to use.

$400.00 is not going to get you the system that you are looking for maybe a small 4 chnnels amplifier and 4 inside speaker

for a limit of $400, you could not get an entire system. if you have a head unit and speakers, then go fo rthe sub and amp. otherwise i would say spend about $150 on a good head unit first. i bought a kenwood kdc-mp4032 a while back and i love it to death. then from there buy speakers with the rest. but id get either 1 15" sub with ~2-4000 watt amp or get 2 12"s and get a 4 channel amp that will match your rms of the subs and possibly bridge them. never ever ever go by anything rated at peak. always go by the rms power. and for a final note, id say avoid anything sony. cheap stuff and will not usually give you the stated power untill u start gettin up into the $300 + HU's. but i am running::

and i am borowing a friends amp that is 1 or 2 channel 4000 watts. not sure of brand, but not even sure if i am going to hook it up... too much power, haha...
