Help wire car stero into dash?

Question:
some speackers dont have sound unless i put the fade all to one side

Answers:

I have two Kicker Comp VR 12" subs. What amp should I use and should I wire them in parallel or in a series?

the wiring is wrong. usually the wiring for a stereo consists of a power, acc power, ground, 4 sets of colour coded wires, and sometimes a dimmer and power antenna and remote wire.
take the deck out and locate the four sets of colour coded wires coming from the wire harness. those are your speakers. test each set with one set from your deck, to figure out which speaker is hooked up to which wire. then set your deck to fade front and balance left. find out which wire has music going through it and that is your front left. then turn the balance all the way to the right to find the front right. do the same with the balance to the rear. this is the way i normally do it when there are no schematics or diagrams.

I have 2 12" diamond d9 is 2 jl 1000/1 to much for it and what do you prefer?

umm.. try to maybe check al of your speakers then go to the stereo and make sure you got eberything plugged in right
