Kicker cvr question?

Question:
my bro is all into subs and ****, but he told me the other night that he went to a compittion and this chick had one 12" cvr and had 1500 going to it and she won the whole thing. wouldnt this blow? i really want sumthing that will shake the whole city so if i was to buy 1 15" l7 and put 1500 to it will the sub blow? or mabe 2000 watts to it. every thing will be kicker also thanks

the 12" cvr is rated at 800 watts peak and are probably underrated so as long as she had clean power and the right size box it is fine same thing with the 15" l7 it is rated at 2000 watts peak so as long as its clean power and the right box you'll be fine. Also her amp might be a 1500 watt but thats peak so it would be 750 watts rms
