I am looking to buy a new CD/MP3 player, any suggestions??
go to an auto electrician - your sound system's wiring should not connect to your lights in any way, it should be completely separateDoes anyone know anything about subwoofers?
who installed it,it should not dim light at all.if lights dim while playing, eletric wires should have proper connection. right fuse size.Hey listen the lights are dimming because of the voltage from the battery is flowing to the amp thats is pulling more power then the lights. It's a common thing you can put a larger battery but do not over due the cold cranking amps on it. Or you can by a battery capicator that will take care of all the problem 's and keep your light from dimming. They got different ones to choose from so be carefull to get the one thats fits your system
I have two amps, both run 621 watts rms. what two subs would sound best with limited trunk space?
The amp is asking for too much power from your battery and your alternator can't keep up. Alternators are a little bit pricey, but I'd recommend replacing that for a sure fix. They cost about 150 depending on the car. Make sure you get one that puts out more power (amperes) . Explain to the person you are getting it from that you have a high powered stereo and they'll know what you need. Replacing the battery could work if you get a yellow top that's made for high powered stereos. Your lights shouldn't dim after that either. They cost about $70 or more. But what I'd do is get on this forum I provided and tell them the exact car you have and the power your stereo puts out and they will really help you out. I'd also consider upgrading the power wire from your battery to the alternator that can help as well. Just talk to the pros on this forum..Need a wiring color chart for a 1994 CAMRY?
I agree with answers from everyone. Get a yellow-top or red-top car battery made by Optima. Run a search on high output alternators, I found a company that sell alternators that will put out around 200 amps at high rpm and about 100 amps at idle, stock alternators on a car with a/c only put out around 105 amps at high rpm. As far as capacitors go, recommended size is about 1 farad per 1,000 watts.u need a capacitor. for every 1000 watts u need a 1 farad cap. that will stop most if not all of the dimming.
