Question:
I have a '92 Buick LeSabre Limited. Naturally, there are no controls for the stereo on the steering wheel, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to buy a steering wheel with the controls on it, and for it to work with my car. How do I go about this? Basically, are all steering wheels compatible with all cars? Or is it like any other car part - it has to be compatible to year, make and model?
Thanks.

Why does my stereo keeps cutting off(dying)?
Well theoretically yes however that would be a custom job and would actually cost more than your car. I have steering wheel controls and they are not as convenient as you would think. It is just a matter of using your left hand instead of your right one. If you really have to have one, buy an aftermarket stereo with a wireless remote. How do I remove a cd stuck in a car cd player?
Steering wheels are particular to a manufacturer and sometimes a certain vehicle. Your LeSabre could possibly share a steering wheel with a Pontiac Bonneville or Oldsmobile 88, which I believe might have had steering wheel controls. Your car also has to be equipped with a head unit (the stereo unit itself) that can use radio controls.Would a Kicker Zx750.1 amp overpower a pair of Kicker Comps?
Aftermarket head units usually do not work with factory steering wheel controls, although that is changing.
My advice: Buy a head unit that has a seperate remote control. It works nearly the same as steering wheel mounted controls, just not convenient. I have a Pioneer with a remote and it works well enough.
