Question:
I know they heave wireless FM xmtrs out there, but I haven't heard too many positive things about them. Am I better off hard-wiring an FM modulator directly into my antenna input or would it be more feasible in the long run to change out my stereo to one of the newer models that already comes with the RF input? I would like to hear from those that have already installed any of these into their vehicles.

Can you have 6x9's, subs and an amp?
Hello. wireless fm modulators are sometimes a good thing but most of the time bad. Here is the deal. if you are installing it and want the easiest way out, then the wireless is the way to go. Your signal will depend on how close you get the modulator to the antenna. If you have it mounted close, then you should get good reception from it. The other option is a wired fm modulator. This will give you a direct line input through the antenna and you will not get any interference from outside radio stations this way. You will still be running an analog signal so it wont be as "perfect" as an aftermarket headunit with a direct line auxiliary input. If you dont mind purchasing an aftermarket unit, then I would recommend that as the best way to go. If you get a head unit with the 1/8" auxiliary input on the front then you will be set for whatever you want to play through the line, be it a dvd player, ipod, mp3, walkman..etc. etc. Just factor in what you want to pay for it. At our shop we sell wireless mods installed for $55. We sell the wired mods for $80 installed. And our least expensive head unit with direct aux input starts out at $139 installed (plus parts depending on the vehicle it is going in). Prices vary from one place to another. Shop around. I have to disagree with the last post. I totally 100% support local shops. Dont buy online or from someone 1000 miles away that you cant talk to personally. I dont support big box stores either. Help keep America strong and spend a couple more bucks from the locals! I hope this helped. Good luck and live loud!!I found the best thing since sliced bread...http://www.crutchfield.com/s-9odewunvio6...
I need to fit a nokia bluetooth kit to my citroen picasso?
It's not wireless. Basically it adds an AUX input to any radio.
Help wire car stero into dash?
It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off. It comes with an On/Off switch.
This is the answer. Totally versatile.
the best way to plug the audio source to your radio is two use a AUXILIARY INTERFACE
