Hey, i just got a new 1000watt boss amp, that is powering 2 kicker compvr's (800wattpk , 400watt rms). Anyway my deck can reach a voume of 62, on certain songs it will stay on but on others once it hits hard the amp just goes into protection mode. I have no idea why and i can tell there not hitting to there full potential and its not like there being over powered.. there way underpowered. once i go above 45 on the deck it goes into protection so i dont even have the ability to play it to loud... if anyone knows how to fix this let me know.. o and the amps is run by an 8gauge , 60amp fuse if thanks any help.

You are presenting too low of an impedence for that amp. It only kicks into portection mode on hard hitting bass notes because the amp is not able to produce the power that the impedence level is calling for.I would bet you have (2) 4 ohm subs paralleled on a 2 channel amp bridged to mono. This presents a 2 ohm load to the amp. Your amp is only able to handle a 4 ohm load when bridged to mono. Series wire the subs and then bridged onto the amp. This will present an 8 ohm load to the amp and it will not go into protect. Although the volume will be significantly lower. You should have purchased (2) 8 ohm subs or (2) 4 ohm DVC subs. This would be ideal to bring your impedence level to 4 ohm mono which would put the amp to it's max capacity.
