I have dual 10" 600 watt 4ohm subs that I will be running with my factory deck. What watt amp should I get?

look for something in the range of 1200w , that is if the "600w" your talking about is rms. if its 600w peek, then they will probably be around 300w rms each. which means you'll still need atleast a 600w amp. I'd also really consider replacing the factory head unit(deck)

300 watt mono block, 1 channel amp would be perfect. Get mono amp because it better suits your 4 ohm subs. The amp will be producing the power at 2 ohms. A 2 channel amp with those subs will be at 4 ohms, producing less power.
If you think the "boom" might be overpowering, just turn down the gain of the amplifier. No harm in doing that. Rockford Fosgate makes a nice amp for your needs.
