Question:
I bought two Rockford Fosgate Punch3 12" subwoofers and I need to know what kind of Rockford Fosgate Punch amplifier(s) to get. Do I get two mono channel amps, or do i get one 2-channel amp? I want the best amp(s) for my subwoofers the cost doesnt matter. www.rockfordfosgate.com, you can look under products, then amplifiers, thanks.

What kinda amp do you use?

Ok. The best RF amp that works with your subs is the Punch P1000-1BD. It can supply 1000 Watts RMS and close to 2000 Watts Peak. Just perfect for your subs.

My Pioneer DEH-P4500MP isn't sending a signal to the amp, wrong setting maybe?

ths bigest mono block that plays at 1 ohm

Why did my factory system seem to have more bass than my new system?

If your stock # is p3d412 they are of the dual 4 ohm variety, and the amps I would recommend would be the new p1000-1d or the T10001bd you will want to be in parallel @ 1ohm.
If your stock # is p3d212 they are of the dual 2ohm variety, and you will want either the T1500 - 1bd or 2 - p500.2's and you will want these in series /parallel @ 2ohm mono
for the 2 - p 500's wire them in a series bridged @ 4ohm to each amp.
To get the proper ohm load you will want to check your manual, fosgate usually has very clear instructions.

Should I get a 2 way or 3 way?

well, why don't you give rockford's tech line a call and see what they recomend you using. Just make sure you have the factory part number (serial number) off of the subs when you call!

Can i use a car head unit in my home system?

i have those same subs and i also have a rockford amp 1 dual 850 watt( amp should push those subs anything bigger you might not want to turn up as much(the amp i mean)it would blow your woofers right out.(i work at a radio installation co. you might have heard of it tweeters)

I have 4 cd's stuck in factory stereo for Volvo S80. Any ideas on removing them w/o taking apart whole thing?

If you're just running a sub, then dump your money into a mono sub amplifier. You want power, and the lower the ohm rating the better. If you can run 1 ohm loads, that means you can put 8 * 8ohm subs in parallel on a mono channel and be thumpin'. Or you could put 4 * 4 ohm subs in parallel. Or you could put 2 * 2ohm subs in parallel. Or, 1 * 1 ohm.

IPod hook up not working in my car. Help?

the two mono channel amps is the way to go if you want maximum stroke. one amp for one speaker is always the way to go if you can afford it. I have a two channel Fosgate that is just bridged and it pounds. multi channel amps are made for powering multi speakers such as tweeters, door speakers.
