Bmw business cd player?

It takes the cd half way and then starts to spin and then says cd error any ideas

there is no laser arm on car cd player,
the disc is not going all the way in because the motor is not pulling the cd into the laser location
you get a cd error because the laser can not read a cd that is not inside
