Should i get a rockford 450.2 or 600.1 amp for 2 P2 10's?

Question:
I have 2 rockford P2 10" subs and am in the process of building a ported box. Should i get a rockford 450.2 amp or the more expensive 600.1?

Get the 450.2. i work with Rockford every day and that 600.1bd is too much. the subs max at 400watts each and RMS at only 200watts. that amp has an RMS of 225x2@2ohm(asuming you have the DVC p2's). that is as close to perfect as you will get. the 600.1bd will RMS at 600x1@2ohms but can put out over 2000watts if turned up. so that would essentially be a waste of money (unless you plan on upgrading subs later) and possibly be a set of blown P2's later

Is Power Acoustik a good brand for car subwoofers?

I know for a fact that Rockfords like the juice!! Get the bigger one

I want to play the sound from a portable sat nav unit through my car audio system?

Depends on the power handling of the subs. Don't exceed the total watts RMS of the subs and you'll be fine.
