With subs it's about how you hook them up. You can get the best competition class 18" subs and a great amp and hook them up wrong and a single 8" would sound better. If I were you I'd go get a single 12" dual voice coil sub and a good quality class D amp pushing about 600~800 watts. The dual voice coil will let you run the sub at a 2ohm load and all that power will really make it sound good. Class D amps are specifically built to power subs and you'll notice a difference from a regular amp. Oh and by going with one 12" instead of two 10"s you'll save space behind the seats.

Re-doing My Car System?

you will find that jl and kicker and pretty much all others will not even compare to alumapro. in all independant tests. the alumapro sounded cleaner and hit harder than ANYTHING else. i myself have an alumapro m16. it is awesome! alot of my friends have alumapro and will NEVER run anything else. they are awesome!!!
