Question:
I have already swapped out the stock speakers for sony xplods (220 watts in front and 240 watts in the rear) and installed a Dual cd deck (model XDMR7710) (220 watts)It has amp out puts. I recently purchased a Kenwood amp (KAC-6201) Its a 2 channel amp...with RMS wattage 350. It came without any wiring. I also have a 10 inch Sony Xpold Sub (800 watts) with a box. (model # XS-L1037) I also got a TRIPLE X 1.5 FARAD DIGITAL POWER CAPACITOR because I don't want my headlights to dim when the bass dropps. What else would I need to install these?

Need help with a kenwood excelon kdc-x890 car reciever!!?
That amp will severly underpower those subs. What all does the big 3 consist of?
The amp is 150 watts RMS X 1 @ 4 ohms (bridged)
The sub is 300 watts RMS @ 4 ohms
How do i reset pioneer DEH-P3300 car stereo clock?
This isn't a bad thing, but the sub won't be used to it's fullest potential.
With such little power, you won't need a cap. Just be sure to set the gain on the amp right.
What type of amp set up gets more power out?

Two 4 guage power's and ground's, or a 1/0 kit?
It would be best to get 2 subs so you wont blow em. you need wire for the hook ups. Tweeters would work alsoGet a 50 foot spool of 8-10 guage speaker wire from radio shack and you will also need a set of rca wires with a left and right side(white and red) that is long enough to reach from your cd player/radio to whereever you are going to mount your amplifier.Make sure it has male connectors at both ends. Usually 12 feet is long enough-radio shack has these also. When hooking up the amp I would run 2 wires (using the above 8-10 gauge wire) from the battery to cap. to the amp. The above 8-10 gauge wire will also be used to hook up your subwoofer from your amp. The same wire(8-10 guage) is also used for your remote wire from the cd player/radio to your amplifier(this turns your amp on and off when you turn your cd player/radio on and off. The final wire is the ground wire for your amplifier(use the same 8-10 guage wire) and connect it to the metal body of your car.(I have used the bolt that holds your seat in the car for grounding amps with good results before). This will be a better and much cheaper way then buying a wiring kit in my opinion.Hope this helps.
First you probably wont even need a capacitor due to the low amount of power it will be drawing. Wiring - 8 gauge power & ground, RCA cables (scosche or tsunami), 14 gauge speaker wire and turn on wire. You could go with bigger wiring but probably wouldnt see a difference. Also, check your amplifier to see what size fuse it has on it (e.g. 30) then you would want a 40 amp fuse under the hood between the battery and amplifier. Usually no more than a foot away from the battery is where they are placed. You can buy this whole kit at walmart or another retail store. If you do go for wiring the capacitor make sure the battery wire is hooked to the positive pole then wire it to the amplifier, same with ground, but make sure it is screwed to the chassis of the vehicle. Another handy tip is to charge the capacitor before you use it to prevent any damage and make sure it keeps a charge longer. You can contact me if you have any more ?'s I will be glad to help!
