If you are trying to gain a 12dB/oct slope on the sub low pass with that amplifier dedicated to only the sub, you can do it between the RCA and amp, or amp to subs. Between the RCA and amp will gain the most efficiency, but that is if the amp is solely for the sub. Otherwise put them in between the amp and subs. To gain a 12dB/oct slope start at the amp speaker outputs with the +. Put the inductor in-line with the + and the after the inductor, put the capacitor across the + and - (yes, one end of the cap on the positive and the other end on the negative). This creates a 12dB per octave slope.
For a 10" Sub, would it be worth it to build a box, or should I just buy the walmart brand box?
Question, why not just use the crossover that is built into the amp? It is an active type and will not have variencies and it is the most efficient. If you have one on your amp, you don't need the coil or cap.
Could i do this without harming anything?
Shoot me an email, maybe I can explain this a little better.
Is it possible to get a cd out of a car stereo after it has been disconnected from the car.?
If you are using external ones it can go either way. If you are using your amp to power subs AND highs then put the separate crossovers between the amp and the speakers, however if you are using it just to power subs or vice versa then I put it between the head unit (stereo) and amp Good Luck Man!More Questions & Answers ...
