ive had a kicker 10" comp in my 05 dodge which im trying to put on my computer but anyways, b4 i took it out i was having problems one day i was playing and i heard something click and all the bass went off it came back the next day but not how it was now i have a 12" 1000W rms xsite which only worked for a couple of minutes because the same click sound happened and all the bass went out, its not the subs cause ive hooked them up in other cars and work perfectly but not in mine. is it a wire that poped loose cause we didnt wrap them in proprely?

how big is your amp? if your amp doesnt have enough power for the sub it might be gettin overpowered and the amps kill switch is kickin inIs a 500 watt amp good for a car audio system with two tens or is that not very good anymore?
That sounds like a thermal protection on your amp. if you have something on it, or its under the seat, get some air on it. It should have an LED to tell you that its off due to the temp. It sounds like your amplifier is having a problem. The amp is probably limiting the output because it detects a problem. The power connections to the battery could be the culprit. Corrosion and vibration can make these connections weak and limit current to the amp. It is also possible that you have to low of an impedence (ohms) presented to the amp.
