Why am I getting a loud low frequency hum through the woofers?

A mono is used for subs, mono amps are typically maid to run at lower ohms so you can run multiple subs off them, they are a single chanel not a stereo multiple channel amp.

Witch brand is better in car audio?

A 2 channel can be used for a few things. On most you can bridge the 2 channels and combine the power to power a sub. A 2 channel is also used to power a pair of speakers or components. Alot of the times the crossovers and filters are set up for running mids and highs off of these amps but they also have low pass crossovers.

If you have two channel amp you hook up rear speakers to preout then where the sub exactly.?

There are 5 and 6 channel amps, a 5 channel is pretty much a 4 channel amp to power the mids and highs, and the 5th channel to power the sub. These amps are good if you only want to run 1 wire back for yout amps, or your limited to mounting space, but these are big. They alos get hotter alot faster than other amps.

A 4 channel amp can be used to power subs, but it isnt a great idea. You can power 2 subs, you bridge 2 channels into 1 so you would have 2 bridged channels to power 2 subs. These amps are mainly used to power mids and highs. There crossovers are set up for high frq insted of lows. You can power 4 speakers,or 4 component speakers off of these.

Why is it that when you're driving and looking for an address, you turn down the volume on the radio?

you can use a 2 channel for mids and tweets but watch the rms watts not the peak the peak is not true wattage for example a sony xplod I had was 1000 watts peak but RMS was about 500 if that now I have 2 db drive platinum PL12s and a quantum audio 1500 watt with my subs wired down to 1 ohm mono into the amp if you are going to push power like this I would strongly advise you to buy 2, 1 farad caps. or a 2 farad and wither daisy chain another battery with your main one or you could parallel them and depending how many watts you are running you need to use at least 8 gague wire for anything up to 800 watts because you need that big of wire to pull the right amount of power and most importantly run a big enough inline fuse dont buy a wireing kit that has a an inline thats only 30 or 40 amps sure it will hold up for a while but if you start bumping it will more than likely get too hot and blow so get a tube fuse holder and about an 80 amp fuse for it so you can pull more power, if you have any more questions about amps and **** email me here on yahoo and i can tell you anything you need to know about amps, subs, how to wire your subs,I do this **** for a living so dont worry about blowing your car to **** I havent had 1 complaint about my work in 10 years so i think i know what I am doing
