How do i connect my 10"kicker comp sub to my computer?

i tried connecting it to my regular computer speakers by using the sub output jack cable and replacing it by some speaker wire but it doesnt really sound that loud did i do it wrong or something?hints please.

In order to make the sub work, you need to amplify the signal. The output from the computer is at line level (same amount as a headphone output). You need to purchase a seperate amplifier for the sub. See below;

yea, that first guy is pretty much right but you might not want to do that. most subs aren't meant for free-air applications and you might just end up ruining your sub a lot faster.
