As far as hooking up an amp to your OEM radio, yes is in possible. There are two ways.

First if the amp you have has a high level input you can tap into the front speakers, its how the amp gets its signal.

If the amp doesnt have a high level input and only low level (RCA) then you'll have to purchase a high to low converter from a shop. They run anywhere from 5-20 bucks and it also taps into the speaker leads and has RCA output so that you can just plug the RCAs into it and then run them to the amp.
