it is best to place on top center rear of car ,use the antenna aiming program built into radio for best signal

My Sub is 300rms, 600rms MAX, Would it be ok to hook it up to an amp with a total of 400rms?

For best results, mount it on the roof near the front or rear windshield and run the cable under the window molding (which can be tricky depending on the car). You can also place it on the dash close to the window or back deck but you may have more reception problems that way.
