What type of subwoofers and amps are truely the best sounding?

I have a honda civic coupe and I need to know what kind of system i should get. I want something that bumps hard but not hard enough to drown out the lyrics. I want good QUALITY not just loudness. Anyone have any ideas from experience??

but there are 2 kinds of woofers.
Sound quality (SQ [what you want]) gives sound quality.....
Sound pressure level (SPL). hits harder but less quality.....

personally i think the alote of the high quality woofers sound pretty much the same. just a matter of what you want to sport.

with these things my woofers easily drown out the lyrics but if i turn down the bass and turn up the treble. the lyrics stay up with the bass. and the bass still slams if i want it too.

my car died today(no gas) after refueling, car worked fine, so did stereo but no bass from sub? amp lights up?

i bought speakers that handle way more watts than my head unit can produce so they dont produce bass. this way they only speak and tweet, and they leave the woofs to my subs. this way they never blow.

Best advice you can get is from your ears. Go to a good pro audio shop and grab a listen. Some of the better ones will demo a system right in your car so you know what your getting.

Why does my amp keep blowing fuses?

It depends On how much u want to spend. Rockfer is good but expensive, Infinity and kicker are also good subs. i recommend redoing your whole system or putting an amp on what u have now so u can hear the lyrics for whatever subs u get
