Question:
It's only the driver's side and it's crackly! It makes all my music sound horrible. What causes it? Where can I go to get it fixed? And how much does it cost?
Thanks in advance.
Answers:
You can replace the tweeter, just go to a car audio store.
My stereo wont turn on?!?!? details below?
It sounds like you have a blown speaker. You can get speakers fairly reasonable at Walmart and your local car audio company should install it for around $25.00How do i hook up woofers to my stock stereo?
Sounds like the speaker is busted. Replace it.You may have blown the speaker cone by playing the music too loud and ripping the cone. Also UV rays will dry out the material in the speaker and will make them less flexible and more prone to crack. Then you get distortation.
Sand or a blown speaker.
Fairly cheap to fix. Maybe $100 or so.
Best is to find a place that does free install.
Does it matter what kind of fuses you put in your amp?
A blown speaker, (cracked cone) would need to be replaced, or it could simply be a loose wire connection. Either way you would have to remove the door panel and ckeck it out. Not very difficult to do.Can I hook an ipod up to old speakers?
you can fix it, but it will still be a bit scratchy. Open up the speaker, and you should see like copper wiring. a bunch of little copper wires, twisted. i suggest twisting it a bit more, so all the copper wires will touch, because the reason why your music might be scratchy is that the wiring is to far apart, try that and see if it works. besides what you got to lose, if that doesnt work, try what every one else said, get a new oneWhere can i found a 18" Cerwin Vega Stoker.?
If the cone is cracked you will have to go to the internet and try to find an identical one. If you get one good speaker then your audio will be lopsided.More Questions & Answers ...
