Linn kans mk1.suitable amplification.?

i have just purchased kans mk1,my set up is ,naim 180 amp,72 pre amp, and hi/cap.is this too much for the kans, they sound rather dull ,ie,shut in.they have been run in and sounded more open on day one.speaker cable is nac 5. stands are custome made and weigh a ton.any help appreciated.

I'd think the amp would possibly be too much for the Kans, but they can be temperamental to position right, too. they should probably be positioned close to a back wall due to their small size. Mk1s also had a stand specifically designed for them, and I recall being warned to use that stand (from Linn) and no other.
I ran mine with a Creek CAS 4040 and also tried an old Cambridge Pre/power combo. The Kans sounded brilliant with both.
