Why will my radio only play for a few seconds after I turn it on?

Question:
The radio in my Dodge Neon only plays for a few seconds after I turn it on. This goes for my CD player too. It's all factory stuff. Anybody had something like this happen to them?

Answers:

OEM subwoofer.?

I'm gonna say you have a short in your wiring. This is gonna sound off the wall, but try hitting it and knocking the wires around. and if that don't work you should consider getting a new radio.

Whats better? 2, 12" Subs w/250 Watts RMS or 1, 12" sub w/500 Watts RMS?

Sounds like solder connections...happens a lot with tv's today and especially in car radios because they get bounced around.

My Jensen CD/DVD Player in my car does not display CD song titles and tracks. Why?

Disconnect the speakers and see if unit cuts out. You can try using headphones to verify sound output. If this works your speakers are causing the problem. If it is not the speakers it could be the output stage of your units amp.
