L7's in a scion tc?

Question:
I am going to buy a 2005 scion tc. i am thinking of putting 4 L7's in the trunk. i will probably be taking it to competition but what i would like to know is what kind of box i will need and if somebody can give what it would look like and also i heard that i will need special glass. where can i find that at.

What amp to buy?



p.s. i would also like to have custom seats in the car... does anybody kno any good websites or places that do custom seating?

its fiberglass you will need... chances are the regular particle MDF board will not curve to contour the trunk. Plus the fiberglass can be painted and shined up. Sound Advice does fiberglassing for stereos and can put in the whole thing.

Go to a stereo shop that specialize in custom enclosures and tell them what you are trying to do. Let them know what amp you are using and all other details so they can build you an enclosure that can maximize the potential of the subs especially since you are going to enter into competitions. The enclosure is just as important as the subs and amp so a custom build tuned for your car would be the best way. I have two L7 15's in a custom box and a 2500 rms amp and I have shattered my back window twice since I have had them.

I have a treo 15 inch sub that says needs 4.25 sqft ^3 i have it in a pre fab box would it sound better if?

You will not need any kind of special glass with those subs. Best box for those subs is going to be a vented box, kicker subs are much louder in a vented box. Hope this helps.
