Question:
The stereo has 3 pairs of pre-amp outputs plus a sub pre-amp output. The pre-amp voltage is 5 volts. My amplifier's input voltage is 14.4V and the output is 160 volts max per channel, with 4 channels output. If I have a 6 speaker car, how do I hook up the amplifier, and how do I hook up the subwoofer? Also, if I have 6+1 outputs on the stereo, how do I connect those with the amplifier?

The output of your cars radio has nothing to do with your amp.for the most part. The high output of the deck just means you will get a better signal at your amp and a cleaner sound. Your amp is rated up to 14.4 volts DC input from the battery but chances are it will only see around 12volts or so. I believe you meant to say that your amp is 160 watts per channel. Chances are if it does not say 160watts RMS then it is just peak power and chances are you will never see it.Looking for a Sony FM/AM Compact Disc Player CDX-1300?
The three pre-amp outputs are just for the amplifiers. the wire harness that connects to the radio conneects four speakers. Is it a total of six component speakers or two of the speakers are tweeters? if they are tweeters they are connected to the door speakers. If there are six component speakers Then you can bridge the back and the middle set of speakers. The pre amp output rca's connect into the amplifier as well as the rest of the wires in the amp wiring kit. if you dont want to bridge the last two component speakers you can get another amp and have it push the two back speakers as well since you have a extra preamp output.More Questions & Answers ...
