Tweeters for car stereo?

i got a pair of dub tweeters and i think they sound amazing but then they stopped working and i checked all the connections and everything and it all is hooked up then i removed the tweeters and touch it right to the amp and still nothing comes out of it could someone please tell me what is wrong with them ? and does anyone know whats a good set of tweeters i want some that are crystle clear and loud

Sounds like they are blown....what impedance do they list on the back? Hopefully 4ohms if you are driving them directly from an amplifier. If they are 8ohms or above, there were supposed to be hooked up through a crossover which separates the bass and high frequencies.

If you are going to continue to drive your new tweeters directly from the amp, get yourself some bass blockers which are cheap capacitors that act as a high-pass filter and only let the correct frequencies go to the tweeters. You can find these on Ebay or at any store that sells car audio components.

TOM TOM navigation thing, please help?

Look on the back of the tweeters. you will find a fuse, perhaps .8 amp. You probably played them so loud you blew the fuses. Replace the fuses and the speakers should work just fine.
