Audi A4 (06) Stereo, SD card format?

Question:
Can anyone one tell me what format I need to put audio files on a SD card to play in the Audi A4 (06) car stereo? And how I convert them from CD to the card in the first place? I tried dragging them from Itunes but that didn't work.

Is there suppose to be music coming out of the subwoofer?

I rip mine to MP3, that way on 1G card i get about 12 cds.Rip your cds into mp3 format ,stick em on the desk top.Stick your card into your card reader,then send mp3s to your card.Job done.
