Question:
Ok i have two Audiobahn AW122N subs in my truck. I am wiring them to an amp that is giving them 370 rms a piece. They also each have 1.31 cubic feet per sub. But i want to let my amp put out its full power by getting the Audiobahn AW1200V and wiring them for a 2 ohm stereo load to each channel, therefore my amp will give them 470 a piece. If i did that with the subs i have now then they would bottom out to easily. So if i got the Audiobahn AW1200V and gave them 470 apiece using the same box that the others were in, what would be the difference. Would it be worth it to upgrade or would i need a new box?

My car can handle the power plus i have a cap too. So would it sound better with my "upgrade" i am thinking about. Give me as much info as possible please.

how can i convert a electric powered subwoofer to my car radio?
The biggest problem with wiring to a lower impedance is the introduction of higher THD. If you don't care about SQ then do the upgrade. What's the difference between a mono, 2 channel, and multi channel amp?
If those are the correct links (which it certainly looks like)you don't need to upgrade to put out more power
the 122N subs are listed at being able to handle 550 RMS and 1100 max
the 1200V subs are listed at being able to handle 700 RMS and 1400 max
As long as that box is sealed, you won't have a problem with either sub.
how do u know wat are good amps for a car sound system?
Since they are both DVC subs, I would recommend first wiring each subs voice coils in parrallel first, to give a total load of 2 ohms, and allow you to push more power to those subs. That way, you can give yourself an 'upgrade' for free.
AUX problem, loses signal, is ground a problem?
Pretty much what an upgrade would mean is this:
You'll have more bass in your music and you'll be able to crank your music louder before the subs begin to distort the sound (as long as they're wired correctly)
