IPod hook up not working in my car. Help?

Question:
I just bought a car, it has a pioneer deck with aux. input. The previous owner isntalled a ipod cable to hook up to the aux input. However, I can't get the source button to go to aux, it just goes from cd to tuner. He had a sub and amp in that he took out before, I am wondering if this has anything to do with it. He said he just hit the source button til it went to Aux, but it wont go to Aux for me. Any ideas?

Answers:

I have 2 x 10" subs what size amp do i need to run them. dont understand bridging ect?

I am not a 100% sure on this but its the only thing I can think of. Sometimes you have to go into the decks menu or sub menu to turn the aux input on. If this is the case it would explain why you don't have it showing up when you hit the button. In these cases it will be hidden till turned on. Try that and I hope it works. Good Luck
