they're called X-plod because they blow out extremely easy. They're rated at a wattage so high, people try to get that amount of power out of them and they blow out. the 12" sub is rated at 1300 watts max (in huge letters on the box) and in tiny little letters on the bottom of the box it says 350 watts RMS (i think). They rated a 2-channel amp at canadian tire at 1200 watts, and looking at the specs it said "2x 400 watts peak @ 4 ohms", thats 800 watts, no?What is the correct wiring harness pattern for the pioneer deh-p705? They can't handle 2 ohms very well, they do look very nice though I will admit, but there's better performance and better looking amplifiers and subs for only a few dollars more.

They have massive wattage but in general they arent very good.i hate them i think you should go with a rockford fosgate or kicker amp. Sonys just arent wat people say they are.

ive heard a few diff sony amps and personally i dont like them.. they dont power like they say they will.. go with a higher brand where u got the power that they say.. kicker, rocksford, or alpine are good choices for amps.If I put two 10' speakers in my trunk (not installed) ....?
