Question:
I just want to know what the difference is other than the obvious (bandpass is ported and sealed is not). I am looking at getting a Rockford Fosgate DVC sub and I wanna know what the recommended box would be. Thanks.
Answers:
Can i use a weak amp on my subs or will it damage them?
If you're buying a pre-fab box, I'd stick with a sealed box. Usually bandpass boxes work best if they're designed and built with a specific subwoofer in mind. Some one give me a "how to" for installing subs and amps in a zx3?
Sealed boxes are easiest to build, can usually be made smaller, and are more forgiving of minor differences in air volume; for example, if your sub works best with .75 cubic feet, it won't sound bad in a .85 cubic foot box.
I need code for peugeot 306 rd1 radio?
Bandpass boxes can increase the output, but it often comes at the expense of frequency response. You can build a bandpass box that sounds excellent; you can also build one that plays a narrow frequency range very loud. If you buy a pre-fabricated bandpass box and just put a random sub into it, there's no telling how it will sound.
