How do I remove crossovers, car speakers?

Question:
I bought a car that has an after market stereo and speakers. The installer put some kind of filter on the front speakers to block out base, as the car has a sub in the back. I want to remove these filters. I took one speaker out of the door. I don't know what to remove. There is a little circuit board with aittle YOWAN 3.3 uf 100v capacitor. Is this the filter? There is also a small spool of wire soldered to the little board.

Amp question for cars?

Sounds like a low pass filter, It should be on the sub circuit path as to prevent frequencies above the subs frequency response from arriving at the terminal, This kind of filter is how you get tight punch out of the sub, high frequencies cause lose muddy sounding bass.
There's no harm in removing it, you just need to make sure you dont disrupt the circuit paths to other speakers. Each speaker should have a homerun route meaning the speaker cable goes directly from the speaker to the amp. however sometimes series wiring's are used to match impedance of amps for max power.
Good Luck
