I need help installing a pair of subwoofer speakers already in an enclosure that is 8 inches wide?
600 watts EACH? if so look at HiFonics amplifiers, very good, hard hitting amps. I prefer Autotek but these are pricier...Im looking for a new amp, blew my old one.any suggestions?
I would say that you should get at least a 300 RMS watt amp. you usually dont measure what you need by the max watt age.Anyone know any good web sites to find low cost car stereo equipment?
First thing to know is, is the wattage rating in 'continous or peak' or RMS.RMS is the true measurment of wattage so 600w RMS is really 600watts!
However Continous or peak wattage is only 1/2 of RMS, So 600watt C or P is only really about 300
Same with speakers, Car audio and home stereo is famous for this deception, you want RMS ratings.
I can't get my amp and subs to work. What could be wrong?
MAX or PEAK watts is not a valid means of measuring power, always go by the RMS rating as this is a more useful number. Why does my one channel amp have two channels?
If both susb are 4 ohm wire them like so http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/s... then get a mono amp that equals the total watts RMS of both subs @ 2 ohm.
For example if each sub is 300 watts RMS @ 4 ohm, get a mono amp that's 600 watts RMS @ 2 ohm.
I cant turn on a power amp for the car ,,,remote??
