right now i have 2 12 inch SWR-1222D type rs 2+2ohm DVC being powered by a mono audiobahn 8000t amp..ive got these subs on a 2 ohm load and even though this amp is supposed to put out 400 watts per sub the way i have it wired right now if i turn my system up very loud i begin to notice clipping (and yes, i know what results from this) i have about 300 bucks right now and im looking to upgrade to an amp that can power these two subs more efficiently..what would be some recomendations you guys have? ive heard very good things about hifonics...

Hifonics gets alote of good feedback because it is a good reliable amp. As is alote of other brands.Can you help me with an Audi radio code?
The main thing you want to look for is that the amp has the CEA - 2006 Complaint...

This means that the amp really puts out the wattage it advertises on the box.
But no matter what amp you choose just make sure that the ratings of the amp is this...
1000 watts RMS x1 @ 2 ohms
and wire the subs like this...
