Question:
I took my 2 Mobile spec 3 Farad caps, my 1400w power acoustic amp and my 15 in SoloBaric Kicker out of my 2005 Altima and put them in my 93 GS300 and now my sub is not hitting at all. I also added a double din Kenwood CD/MD player to the GS300(which i did not have in my Altima), could the head unit be the problem?

Wow! No one even mentioned to fact that the gain might be set wrong. The purpose of the gain is to match the signal RMS volts from the head unit. Since you moved the system from one car to another, this makes sense.Factory wiring diagram for 2006 nissna altima?

Does it matter if you have a 4ohm subwoofer wired to a 8ohm amp?
check all ur power wires and ground and speaker wireWhat do I need for mid bass in my car audio system?
The first system had a LOC I assume? Probably. That's the problem! The gain on the amp had to be way down to make up for the high level (and distorted, I will add) inputs. Now that you have low level outputs on the HU, your gain is too low. Your gain needs to be adjusted, period. Also, ditch the caps. Waste of your money. Do the Big3 upgrade (power wire from alternator to batt., ground from batt. to frame, and ground from frame to engine block) in 4g or bigger wire and you'll notice a better improvement than when you added your caps. I garantee. -Read the above mentioned link on setting gains correctly and you'll be impressed!More Questions & Answers ...
