Is there anything wrong with me running a 150 4ohm Woofer at 8 ohm's?

Question:
I recently found a specification sheet for a very old amplifier that i decided to use on my new subwoofer and i discovered it is rated for 150 watts at 8 ohm's when i thought i was at 4 ohms. Is there anything wrong with this? Would i notice the benefit of running a nice 100$ 150watt RMS 4ohm amp?

Can i hook up an ipod to my alpine cda-9831 with my xm sat. already installed?

Thanks in advance!

you wont get as much power out of it...because of the extra resistance...75 watts is what you might get...if im correct...college was soo long ago...lol.

What to do with the CD Player?
