Can an older aftermarket small 40 watt amp cause enough electrical interference to screw up shifting and fuel?

I added an amp awhile ago and since then i have had problems with my shift points and my fuel injectors. could the amp be putting out enough noise to cause problems with the throttle position sensor and the kick-down solenoid?

you might be hearing spark from the coil...try running the negative cable from the amp to the negative side of the battery instead of the chassis...see if that works..if the amps the problem that will fix it
