Well if you dont plan on upgrading your HU (head unit) than just be sure that it has a subwoofer RCA output on the back.You will use this to wire the amp to the HU.
How much amp wattage do I need?
If you do not have the outputs, than you can just connect it into the rear RCA outputs but you will not have as much control over the amp from the front of the car unless you have an amp remote.

As for the amp, you should look for amps that have the CEA-2006 compliant. These amps give out the actual wattage they advertise. Matching subs and amps incorrectly can blow your subs or fry your amp.

Depending on how strong you get your system, you might also need to buy a stronger battery in which i recommend a Optima yellow top battery.
Are pioneer faceplates interchangable?
And you also might need to upgrade your alternator in the long run if the system puts enough stress on it.

Upgrade the Big3 (power wire from alt. to batt., ground from batt. to frame, then ground from frame to engine block). An alt. upgrade would be next of your stock one wont do the trick.
