You can do anything (within reason) to a car if You can afford it, and if You can find a skilled man to do it.

You will need a good quality 12V power supply. Or a car battery. A battery is a DC source, so its noise free. An AC source may give some hum unless well regulated. Car batteries can give very high currents. Always use them with fuses.
