Look for a ground somewhere. A hot wire somewhere is grounded or partially grounded. A possible location is in or around rear lights sockets.I bet its a Dodge or Chrysler product.
Can an amp's wiring kit fuse and fuse holder be connected to a car's fuse-box ?
More than likely it is either the alternator or the battery. When the car is running it produces enough amps to keep your car running but once the car is turned off, the amperage isn't enough to start your car.what are the connections on the back of a necvox DA-7169?
All cars drain power from the battery in some way. Usually it is not enough to make a difference when starting a car.
One tip when jumping a vehicle, never hook the negative jumper cable to your battery. This will cause your battery and/or alternator to short out and you will end up spending extra money you don't need to spend. Ground it to the engine block.
what happens when a metal coin is put inside a car audio cassette player?
If you decide to do it yourself, take it to AutoZone or Kragens and they can test it for you (it's free). If you need tp replace the alternator, ask them if they have one with a lifetime warranty. This way if the alternator goes out again, take it back to the store and they will replace it at no charge to you. I do this with my brakes too. Saves a lot of money.
What CD unit for my Renault Clio?
Either the alternator is not charging the battery, the battery is not holding a charge, or something is putting a load on the battery yet after the vehicle is shut off. Have a load test done on the battery to see if it is any good...may be just wore out. Next, have the alternator tested to be sure it is providing a charge to the battery. You can also check to see if there are any items in the vehicle left on when it is not running will drain a battery (some items there would be the dome light or headlights, but there may be something else).Sound System for a 2004 Chevy Impala?
Your battery is dead. Your car runs off your alternator when started, and the alternator also charges your battery. Your battery isnt getting a charge. It is bad. Take it and get it tested at Advance or somewhere. They do it for free. Or just replace your battery. That is the problem.u be livin large n phat n droppin dimez on dem foos?
If it "runs fine until I turn it off" that is a pretty good clue that the alternator is putting out what is needed. If it was bad your lights would get progressively dimmer and once the battery dropped below about 9 volts you would be dead in the water. Most likely you have a battery that is failing, especially if it more than 3 years old.
Good Car CD Player to buy??!?!?
There is also a slight possibility you have something draining the battery. It's easy enough to find out. Take off the positive terminal and put a volt meter between the cable and the battery post. It will draw a very small amount to keep the clock and radio memory alive, but if it's drawing a large amount of voltage, you have a short some where. Look for a light staying on in the trunk or glove box as possible culprits. If you don't have a volt meter, you can also use a test light.
