Questions on what subs would work with amp, RMS,ohms, and channels?

Question:
I have a Legacy LA1088 4-Channel 2000 Watt Bridgeable Mosfet Amplifier and i'm wondering, if i was going to only hook up 2 subwoofers, how would i go about getting all 2000 watts to those speakers, well not all 2000 but i mean (2X1000 watts per channel?)and if i was going to do that what should the speakers RMS be? well what should the rms be period if i was still only hooking up 2 speakers,is there anyway also to hook up those 2 speakers on all 4 channels? and if so how should i go about seeing what the RMS the speaker should have when i shop. if you have any information or diagrams that picture hooking up 2 subs on 4 channels, and/or how to hook it up and get all the power of the amp on the 2 channels, that would help, please share! it would be greatly appreciated!

Installing Car aduio amplifier?

well it depends on how many ohm's the subs run on and howmany coils they have, but if you want to run every thing that the amp has to offer then you need subs with 1100 watts rms that way there is no way you could blow a sub and you would gett all 2000 watts from the amp, but that is a very loud system, but if that is what you want go for it

What audio speakers are the best to get for a Buick LeSabre?

Get a new amp. Legacy rates their amps at max power. You are really only getting maybe 250 watts rms out of that thing. Go on ebay and check out some diamond audio amps, there or some pretty good deals on them there and you will get a heck of a lot more juice out of any diamond amp v.s. the biggest legacy amp.

If I run high imputs into an amplifier will the low outputs on that amp function properly so I can piggyback?

Unfortunately the first thing you have to do is come back to Earth with the power numbers, because Legacy amplifier "max" ratings are overinflated to the point of lunacy. The specs for that amplifier call for an actual RMS power rating of 75 watts per channel at 4 ohms, or 115 watts per channel at 2 ohms (in 4-channel mode). The owner's manual doesn't even provide RMS power ratings in bridged mode, but an educated guess would say you can bridge the amp for an RMS output of about 200 watts per channel to 2 channels. So if you want the maximum power for two subwoofers, pick 4-ohm subwoofers rated for 200 watts RMS.
